¡Hola chicas! We know it's important to have a healthy lifestyle, but sometimes that really feels easier said than done. Today, I want to chat with you about some tips to help you craft a plan to maintain a healthy lifestyle of your own. While it always sounds so easy to maintain a healthy lifestyle, with as "go, go, go" as the world is, it's a lot harder than it seems. This is the time of year when we start really slacking off on our New Year's Resolutions, but if yours is to maintain a healthier lifestyle, I'm here to spill the té with some tips to help you stay on track.
What Are Your Habits?
Before you put together a plan for making your life healthier, think about your current habits. How often do you currently get exercise? How many meals a day do you eat? How much water do you drink per day? Your habits become automatic, and you don't think much about them, so it can be hard to identify all of them to determine what you want/need to change.
Consider how you can adjust your current habits to be healthier. Can you pack some healthy snacks so you don't hit up the vending machine at work? Can you squeeze in a little walk break in the middle of your day? Make a list of your current habits and routines, then make notes of how you can adjust these to make them healthier.
This can be hard at first, because so many habits are automatic and things you don’t really think about anymore. That’s a big issue many people have when it comes to trying to change them — you have to be conscious of them to focus on changing them.
Make a Reasonable Plan
When it comes to changing habits, it's easy to just focus on the end goal and come up with some hard steps to take. This is why many people get frustrated or overwhelmed, and they end up just giving up. Don't make this mistake.
Instead, think about smaller steps you can take. Break up your big goal into some smaller tasks that are more manageable. This will make your goals a lot easier to reach. What do you need to make these goals more reachable? What can you change around you in order to help you achieve your goals?
Let's face it, amigas, life can get stressful. When stress hits, it's easy to fall back into old patterns and discard the healthy habits that you're working to build. As you plan out your healthy habits, try thinking of ways you can stay on track even when things get hard or stressful. Bringing your friends and family into your plans can also help you stay on track.
How to Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle

Now that we’ve looked at some ideas for how to come up with a plan to make your lifestyle healthier, let’s take a look at some easy tips for how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Eat Healthy Foods
With the fast pace that life seems to run at these days, it can be hard to eat healthy foods. It's much more convenient to hit a drive-through on your lunch than it is to pack something healthy to eat or cook a healthy dinner instead of grabbing takeout. However, it's important to try to eat healthy when you can and maintain a balanced diet.
Try limiting your consumption of processed foods and sugars as much as possible. This can be hard, I know chicas, but it's worth it in the long run for your health. Try swapping out soda and packaged snacks and sweets for healthier alternatives. If your daily path at work takes you by a vending machine that calls out to tempt you, try taking a different route to avoid it.
Take a Multivitamin
It’s hard to maintain a fully balanced diet these days, so I’d also recommend taking a multivitamin to ensure your body gets all of the nutrients you need to stay healthy.
Drink More Water
While coffee will help keep you awake as you trudge through your day, it isn't keeping you hydrated. Water is what truly keeps your brain and body running. Drinking plenty of water can improve your energy, digestion, brain performance, heart health, and support weight management. I know, you need your cafeína, but try to work in some more water too, it'll help you live healthier.
Get Regular Exercise
I know, getting regular exercise is something that always comes up when you think about getting healthier, but it truly is important to get some where you can. It isn't just about losing weight; it helps improve your sleep, mood, digestion, and more.
Sometimes, it can be hard to find time to hit the gym or squeeze in a jog or some yoga in the evening. But even if you only have time for a quick ten-minute walk each day, that's better than nothing. If you are able to do something bigger than a quick walk, you should do so in style. The SanHouse Fit Collection has activewear essentials for all seasons, so you can look cute and be comfortable while you get exercise.
