¡Hola, chicas! It's cold outside, which means you may find yourself losing motivation to work out. Working out in the winter is much different than working out the rest of the year. If you're someone who likes to work out outside, winter can make that hard, since it gets dark so early. It always feels like it's kinda dark outside, no matter what time of day it is. This means you'll need another set of workout clothes to help you combat the fría. That's where your friends at SanHouse Fit and our new winter collection come in.
You want to have layers that will help keep you comfortable and insulated, but won't add a ton of bulk to you. Going for a jog in a big puffy jacket may keep you warm, but it will likely be uncomfortable. Being able to dress in warm layers is important to your winter workout. So, settle in with a hot drink and let’s chat about your activewear!
Cute Winter Workout Activewear
Sometimes, our winter gear isn't very cute, because we're focusing on being warm. Obviously, besties, staying warm is a priority, but you can still look cute in your activewear, even in the winter, and we’re here to help make that happen. While your sports bra doesn't need to change, you should change out your summer leggings for something with a little more warmth, and add a couple more layers to your gear.
You want to make sure that any winter workout gear you have is designed to regulate heat, so you won't enfriarse or overheat. You also want to find moisture-wicking material, as that will keep you from sweating too much. Sweat is what helps your body stay cool, but when it’s cold outside, that can make you feel like you’re turning into an ice cube. So moisture-wicking materials will help keep you from sweating and freezing.
Top Layers for Winter Activewear

Obviously, your sports bra will stay as your first layer. Once you’ve found your staple sports bra, keep it. It shouldn’t need to be changed again just because the weather is colder.
Next, you may choose something long-sleeved because of how cold it is outside. It is a good idea to try for something that has good temperature control for whatever the weather throws at you. A breathable, moisture-wicking fabric will also keep you comfortable. Our new Contour Long Sleeve Top is the perfecta choice for this.
You could also try a short sleeve top or even a tank top as your layer over the sports bra, depending on your comfort and taste. A light jacket or comfortable sweat shirt will finish off your top clothing layer. Depending on how cold it is, you also might want to get a breathable vest to put on top of everything, to help keep your core warm.
Cute Winter Activewear Bottoms

Your bottom layer is pretty easy: a pair of warm leggings and a pair of sweatpants. Aim for something that will keep you warm, potentially something fleece-lined, if it's that cold in your area. If you can layer your leggings under your sweatpants, it’ll help keep you comfortable when working out.
Cold Weather Activewear Accessories
You're going to want to add a few extras to your winter workout gear. A warm but light hat, gloves, and a scarf will help you stay warm while working out. A wide headband that covers your ears is a good alternative to a hat. You can still look cute in your workout gear while staying warm; you'll just need to add a couple of extra layers to stay warm.
Don’t Forget the Shoes!
Whether your area gets a lot of rain or snow, it’s slick outside, and the last thing you want is to slip on ice and get hurt. Make sure that you’re wearing slip-resistant shoes with good traction to keep you from falling. Pair these with some warm socks to keep your feet warm will finish off your winter activewear outfit to keep you warm while working out.
Don’t Let the Cold Deprive You of Your Workout
Cold weather doesn’t mean you have to abandon your outdoor workout routine. You just need to make some adjustments to your activewear wardrobe. Chicas, as always, your SanHouse Fit fam is here to help you stay active and look good at the same time.
